Central to such total support for the drug war is the denial of the differences between whole herbs and refined, concentrated isolates- e.g. Cannabis, Coca and Opium versus THC and particularly heroin and cocaine hci and sulfate. Roman Catholic officials as the current Pope Francis lump them all together, ignoring how the shift to concentrates promotes drug abuse.
